สวนขวด หรือ สวนในขวดแก้ว คือการจำลองระบบนิเวศแบบป่าฝนไว้ในขวดแก้ว ซึ่งเมื่อเราปิดฝาไว้จะทำให้เกิดความชื้นและมีไอน้ำสำหรับหล่อเลี้ยงต้นไม้
วิธีดูแลสวนขวด : วางไว้ในห้องที่อากาศเย็นสบาย ไม่ร้อนอบอ้าว มีแสงไฟส่องสว่าง หลีกเลี่ยงแสงแดดจัด และควรมีน้ำหล่อเลี้ยงในชั้นหินด้านล่าง

Q : การให้น้ำ
A : การจำลองระบบนิเวศแบบปิด ทำให้ต้นไม้ข้างในสามารถอยู่ได้ด้วยตนเอง จึงสามารถแลกเปลี่ยนอากาศ และสร้างไอน้ำเพื่อให้ความชื้นตนเองได้ เราจึงไม่จำเป็นจะต้องให้น้ำบ่อย เพียงแค่มีน้ำเล็กน้อยในชั้นหินด้านล่างสุดก็เพียงพอแล้ว


Q : ระยะเวลาในการให้น้ำ
A : สวนขวดที่ดีชั้นดินควรมีสีดำชุ่มน้ำ และมีน้ำหล่อเลี้ยงในชั้นหินด้านล่าง หากดินเริ่มแห้งหรือน้ำในชั้นหินด้านล่างแห้ง จึงค่อยเปิดฝาแล้วหยดน้ำให้ทั่วบริเวณ เฉลี่ยแล้วเดือนละ 1 ครั้ง
Q : สถานที่
A : เนื่องจากต้นไม้ชอบอากาศเย็น จึงไม่ควรวางไว้ในที่แสงแดดจัดส่องถึง และสามารถวางไว้ในออฟฟิศได้


Q : อายุของสวนขวด
A : ตั้งแต่ 4 สัปดาห์ไปจนถึง 1 ปีและไปเรื่อยๆ ขึ้นอยู่กับตำแหน่งที่วาง อุณหภูมิ และการดูแล


Q : อยากมองเห็นด้านในชัดๆ
A : เปิดฝาประมาณ 10-15 นาที ไอน้ำจะลดลง หรือใช้ผ้าเช็ดออกได้ แต่เมื่อถ่ายรูปเสร็จแล้วควรหยอดน้ำเล็กน้อยให้ทั่วบริเวณแล้วปิดฝาไว้ตามเดิม (แต่ไม่ควรเปิดบ่อยๆนะคะ)

Faqs

Q : Do tiny trees need to be watered?
A : Tiny tree garden is a small mock of a closed-ecosystem. This means that the trees can survive by themselves as they can exchange gases and dehydrate to generate the moisture for themselves.
Therefore, there is no need to put more water in for the tiny trees. Just only add little water when the bottom part looks dry.


Q : When do tiny trees in the bottle need water? 
A : The good bottle garden should have black moist soil-layers and some steam holding inside the bottle. If the soil is starting to get dried or the amount of water in the bottom part is getting less, then you can open the lid of the bottle and drop some water over the whole tiny garden. 
Q : How long will tiny trees in the bottle last?
A : They can live from 4 weeks up to 1 year old. Actually, they can live longer, depending on the location they are placed, the temperatures, and your treatments to the trees.


Q : What should you do if you want to take photos of tiny trees but there are a lot of steam in the bottle?
A : Open the lid and leave it for 10 – 15 minutes. The steam will evaporate. You can also use a small towel to wipe the steam inside the bottle. However, after you are done with the photo shooting, it is advisable to drop some water over the tiny tree garden before closing the lid.
(Tip : It is not recommended to open the lid of the bottle too often.)
